Karen Benvenuti, a New Jersey based multi-media artist,
began her education in art, fashion design and acting at several
schools in NYC including Parsons, Traphagen, Herbert Bergdorf Studios
and The National Arts Club.  Karen became a member of the Screen
Actors Guild in 1981 and appeared in small roles in major
productions.  Karen constructed and painted sets for theatre
productions and designed several costumes for ballet companies in
New Jersey.  Later Karen opened two stores in NJ where she sold
housewares, gifts and her painted furniture. This success led her to
her own decorative painting business which she is still doing today
along with teaching art, graphic design and jewelry design. Her paintings
grace the homes of many influential clients throughout the States.
Karen's work has been published in several magazines and newspapers
including Architectural Digest , Country Living, Dtour magazine,
Direct Art, Bust and 10 appearances in Design NJ.
Karen is also a member of several guilds and
societies including the MCAC and the NWA.
